Annual Event Telecon Minutes

Present:

I. Events over the summer

Mike Moreau reported that he is getting with each individual center who will have NASA Academy over the summer for a get together with Alumni in the area. More information to come.

II. Ideas

There were three ideas for our big event for the year
  1. John Glenns Space Launch at KSC
  2. Space Camp in Huntsville AL
  3. Something in D.C. around NASA's 40th Anniversary

III. NASA's 40th Anniversary

As of right now George is trying to find information about exactly what NASA is doing for the 40th Anniversary before we can continue. Some stated that if we have a prescence at the 40th Anniversary, it would be great promo for the Academy

IV. Space Camp

If we don't do Space Camp as the annual event some of us can still get together on our own.

V. Satellite Events

There was also mention of satellite events at places to be detemined in the future the same weekend if we do something around the 40th Anniversary for those who may not be able to make it to DC

VI. Poster/paper presentation

Someone also brought up the idea of a poster/paper presentation of fellow alumni sometime during the big weekend. A working group has been established to work on this further and they are: George Hunyadi; Indy Salisbury; Jim Brice; Cathering Venturini; Grant Bromhal
