Executive Council Telecon Minutes

Summary of Meeting Actions

I: Election

• Rob will be sending out more information later this week, everything is on schedule
• Joe Mueller running for VP Operations, so we now have one candidate for each position
• should we consider a change to the way the elections are done in the future.
  • elect three officers, not for specific positions
  • officers decide who does what later.
  • example: two people run for president, no one runs for VP Finance. This would prevent this problem

II. Planning for Transition to new Executive Council

• need to change NAAA address from Brian's apt.
  • NAAA needs a street address
  • mailboxes etc. offers post office boxes and forwarding service
  • cost is probably between $100-150
  • Ian will look into this later
• documentation
  • current officers need to document proceedures
  • upload all important NAAA documents to the website where they are accessible to new officers
  • NAAA calendar, documenting the timing of important NAAA events throughout the year: a guide for the new EC

III. Conference Follow-up

• transcript of panel discussion
  • Ian has the tapes, wants to make a video for the alumni
  • David will look into sponsorship
  • Make a list of what needs to be done
• thank you notes
  • david will write something up tonight
  • Ian is going to NASA HQ tomorrow and can deliver them
• stay in touch with Dr. Berendzen re: conf. for millennium...
• Mike Baine is creating the web pages

IV. Newsletter

• presidents message about conference
• someone willing to write up a summary of the panel discussion
  • mike will email the conference attendees to find a volunteers.
