About NASA's 40th Anniversary Gala

In October, NASA will celebrate its 40th Anniversary. To honor NASA's four decades of achievements and to look forward to its future successes, a gala event is being planned and organized by the National Capital Section (NCS), American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). This special event will be held from 6:00-10:00 p.m., on October 16, 1998, at the National Building Museum, 401 F. Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. See below for details.

The National Building Museum will accommodate up to 1500 guests. Administrator Goldin is scheduled to attend along with other senior NASA representatives. Both President Clinton and Vice President Gore have been invited, as well as members of Congress, representatives from the international aerospace community and embassies. All NASA Academy Alumni and their guests are invited to attend.
